A special dynamo version of the GR 1600
– Working with Shutter precision DT have created a tough yet dependable dynamo option for gravel, ultra endurance events and even commuting
– 24mm inner width has proven itself the goldilocks dimension for gravel, narrow enough for running higher pressure road slicks but wide enough to take nice supple 47c’s for when you want to go off-grid
– Based on the SP PL-7 but with upgraded DT Swiss hub shell and bearing technology
– Very low drag, less that 1 watt at 30 KM/H with the lights off and only 4.2 watts of when the light is on
– 6 volt 3 Watt STVZO compliant output for maximum compatibility with common light units
– Hand built in Europe using DT’s proven Aero Comp butted spokes for a carefully tuned blend of stiffness and low weight, premium Prolock Squorx nipples are used for long term build stability and ease of maintenance
– Tubeless ready but can also be used with standard clinchers
– Front wheel comes ready for standard 12 x 100mm axle
– Maximum recommended system weight: 130 KG, enough for proper bike packing excursions

DT Swiss GR 1600 Front Wheel Performance & Use
The DT Swiss GR 1600 Front Wheel is made for riders who move between roads, gravel tracks and rougher routes. Because the rim is 24mm wide internally, it gives wider tyres a secure and stable shape.
As a result, riders can use lower pressures with suitable tubeless tyres. This can improve grip and comfort on loose or uneven ground.
However, the rim is not limited to wide gravel tyres. It can also support narrower road-focused tyres. Therefore, the wheel works well for riders who use one bike across several types of terrain.
The welded aluminium rim combines strength with a practical overall weight. In addition, the DT Aero Comp Wide spokes provide a balanced mix of stiffness and controlled compliance.
The 350 Straightpull front hub uses sealed cartridge bearings. It also follows DT Swiss’s service-friendly design. Therefore, the hub is suitable for long rides and poor weather conditions where durability matters.
